The goal of the 50th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Reenactment group is to honor and preserve the memory of the men of the original 50th Vet. Vols., their families, and the civilians of the period by portraying the life and times of these people through living history and civil war reenactments and to provide a means to inform the general public of their Civil War heritage.
The 50th PVI reenactment group is founded on the premise of Friendship and Co-operation among its membership and among the community of re-enactors and reenactment organizations at large. The 50th PVI and its membership will adhere to the principles of friendship, cooperation, and good fellowship. We will undertake no activity that will demean the high standard with which it holds the memory of the 50th PA Vet. Vols.
The Unit will strive to render accurate and authentic portrayals to both the general public and the reenactment communtiy alike.
